2023 Elections

Apache County Elections, under the direction of the clerk of the Board of Supervisors, administers, prepares, conducts, and tallies federal, state, and county elections in accordance with Arizona Revised Statutes.

Our Responsibility

  • Secure polling place locations
  • Recruit, hire, and train election board workers 
  • Issue, accept, and maintain candidate, initiative, referendum, and recall filings and campaign committee financial reports 
  • Provide for the printing of all election-related material 
  • Establish election precinct boundaries
  • Secure the use of facilities for election day 
  • Prepare, allocate, and transport election materials to and from polling places 
  • Provide vote tabulation and official results for canvassing by the Board of SupervisorsPoll Workers

Poll Workers

Democracy is not a spectator sport. Please join our team and work at the polls on Election Day to help us have a successful election. Call Apache County Elections at (928) 337-7604. 

Hours
6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. 

Duties

  • Attend training class
  • Attend Monday evening set-up meeting prior to Election Day 
  • Provide the voter the correct ballot 
  • Demonstrate how to mark a ballot 
  • Assist in translations

Compensation

  • Class attendance: $50 
  • Election Day pay: $120–$140 (dependent on the position)
